Shakur Stevenson Trains With Floyd Mayweather

Shakur Stevenson was filmed training with Floyd Mayweather at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, with the session reportedly marking the unofficial start of camp for his next fight.

Stevenson, the reigning WBO junior welterweight champion after outpointing Teofimo Lopez in January, is in talks for a unification bout against WBA titleholder Gary Antuanne Russell (19-1, 17 KOs), possibly on the September 12 card headlined by Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas.

Mayweather worked pads with Stevenson and offered guidance during the session, with the two focusing on transitions between offense and defense.
