Shakur Stevenson is reportedly negotiating a unification fight against WBA titleholder Gary Antuanne Russell, which would mark his debut under his new Zuffa Boxing deal.
Stevenson became a four-division champion with a January decision win over Teofimo Lopez, following an earlier win over William Zepeda at lightweight in 2025. Russell, a heavy-handed puncher, enters off back-to-back decisions over Jose Valenzuela — which earned him the WBA title — and Andy Hiraoka in his first defense.
Speculation around the matchup has picked up after Stevenson shared footage of himself training with Floyd Mayweather Jr., fueling expectations that an official announcement is coming soon.
