With a lengthy list of contenders waiting for their chance to face him, Terence Crawford has been warned most heavily about a fellow unbeaten world champion.
Just over a month removed from his stunning decision win over Canelo Alvarez, the undefeated Terence Crawford added the undisputed super middleweight title to his mantel — landing his third such crown in the ring.
And with a rematch against the Mexican star now firmly up in the air, the Nebraska star has been linked with a laundry list of stars waiting for their own opportunity to share the ring with him.
Off the back of the latest callout to find its way on the doorstep of ‘Bud’, the Omaha megastar has been warned a “special” fighter — almost similar to Oleksandr Usyk poses him a significant puzzle to solve.
Becoming the latest boxing star to stake his claim for a showdown with Crawford, the unbeaten Kazakhstan puncher Janibek Alimkhanuly has offered the Omaha star a chance at boxing history.
Adding the undisputed super middleweight crown to his trophy cabinet last month, Crawford previously held the undisputed titles at both welterweight and light welterweight.
However, eyeing a potential undisputed middleweight title decider next year, the Kazakh star has been tipped to prove a “hungry” challenger to Crawford’s perfect 42-0 résumé.

“See, the thing about Janibek (Alimkhanuly) is he’s big, he’s hungry, he can punch,” Max Kellerman said on InsideTheRing. “He’s got a little wrinkle in his game.”
While many are chasing a pairing with Crawford, the unbeaten star has yet to decide his immediate plan in the ring.
Fresh from his 38th birthday, Crawford — who has been linked with a potential move to light heavyweight in chase of another crown currently held by a star who also toppled Canelo — admitted he is still weighing up his immediate return to the squared circle.
