Game 7 of the ALCS was going according to plan for the Seattle Mariners, with home runs from Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh, a decent start from George Kirby and two great innings from Bryan Woo in relief.
But in the seventh inning, Woo surrendered a walk and a single before a sacrifice bunt from Game 3 hero Andres Gimenez set the Blue Jays up with men on second and third with one out. Mariners manager Dan Wilson turned to Eduard Bazardo with veteran George Springer coming to the plate.
And Springer brought the roof down of the Rogers Centre, blasting a majestic 381-foot home run to left field to give the Blue Jays a 4-3 lead they wouldn’t relinquish to advance to their first World Series since 1993.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Springer’s three-run home run moved him into a tie for 12th all-time in RBI in MLB postseason history. With that being said, can you name the players with at least 40-career RBI in the MLB playoffs?
Good luck!
