With a record of 17 wins and 13 KOs, Smith currently holds the WBC super lightweight silver title and will be in the ring on the 19th of April 2025 against Mathieu Germain to defend it once again.
Dalton Smith made his pro debut against Croatian Luke Leskovic back in 2019 at Nottingham Arena, Nottingham. Smith won this fight by points and has gone ahead to win all his other matches ever since.
It was smooth sailing as at some point, Smith went ahead to get seven straight KO wins which led to a shot at the WBC title.
In March 2022, came the first time for Smith to have a shot at the title. With the silver super lightweight title vacant, Smith faced Ray Moylette at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, Great Britain. It was an exciting fight that went up to the last round for a winner to be determined and it did not disappoint as Smith got the win through a knockout even though it was in the final round (tenth round).
Smith went ahead to defend the title in June against Mauro Alex Hasan Perouene at Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff, and won the fight in the sixth round but later vacated it making it vacant.
He came back two years later to fight for the same title and this time he had to face William Zepeda. It was quite a contest as the title was vacant and both fighters wanted their hands on it. But since at the end of the day there was only going to be one winner, Smith got all the glory as he was able to put Zepeda on the Canvas in the fifth round, this time Zepeda was unable to get up at the 10 count and so Smith won the tie.
Smith will for the second time be defending his title this year after earlier being successful against Walid Ouizza at the Nottingham Arena, Nottingham.
The second time he will be defending it against Mathieu Germain on April 19th. A fight both fighters are eagerly waiting for as there is a title on the line and Smith would also like to defend his undefeated record.
