Turki Alalshikh has officially announced that starting with The Ring IV on November 22, all Riyadh Season and Ring events will be free to watch for all DAZN subscribers with no additional pay-per-view (PPV) charges.

Major fights, completely free beyond your standard DAZN subscription. Starting with The Ring IV, future cards featuring high-profile matchups possibly including stars like Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua, and more will be more accessible to a global audience. No more last minute $79.99+ PPV fees, removing a long-standing barrier for many casual fans.

Industry Impact:

This move completely changes the landscape of boxing as we know it. With eliminating the pay-per-view model, this is going to put pressure on other promotions to see if they can sustain their current business model of pay-per-view fights. When Ring IV  is going to put up very high profile fights that will be accessible to everybody. Clearly now the ball is on PBC and Top Rank court.

Turki Alalshikh seems to know or seem to have at least listened to what fans want when it comes to boxing. Viewed as a sport that is dying, he’s making it clear that this sport doesn’t have to die and it can regain its previous glory that fans are accustomed to over the years. By listening to the people he is going to be responsible for elevating boxing possibly back to the levels that it used to be. Today is a win for all boxing fans and Turki Alashikh deserves a lot of praise for this move.
