Tyson Fury’s dad is going to overhaul his entire camp, and get his son into the shape of his life for his return to the ring.

Two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has taken over a year off after losing his undisputed title rematch with Oleksandr Usyk back in December of 2024. His dad wasn’t in his corner in Saudi Arabia, after a disastrous fight week the first time around where he head-butted a member of Team Usyk.

However, he will rejoin his son’s team in a few weeks as he prepares for his comeback in 2026. And he insists that the comical videos that Tyson has been posting from his training trip to Thailand are going to stop as they get to work on his physique and more.

Tyson Fury’s dad John reveals plan to rebuild former champion

After cornering his son Roman to a controversial victory in Germany on Saturday, John Fury’s attentions are turning to his eldest, Tyson Fury. Fans have been calling the former champion ‘fat’ after videos of his Thailand training camp were posted, and his dad wants to get him in the shape of his life.

“I want to see what Tyson’s at and what he’s got left,” ‘Big John’ told IFL TV after Roman’s victory. “We’re going to do three months proper training and put some muscle on that frame of his, get that s— off his sides.

“It can be done and we’ll give him a good vessel to fight with. Strong physique, strong shoulders, strong arms and solid. I don’t want to look at him with arms like spaghetti sticks, I want to see him there big, muscled up and looking intimidating.

“If he gets that body back and can get the movement, he can get any world title back on any given chance.”
