Usyk Stays Unshaken: Dubois Can’t Get Inside His Head

It is time to go to work. On July 19, the two World heavyweight titlists, Oleksandr Usyk and his archrival Daniel Dubois, will go toe-to-toe for the undisputed belt at London's Wembley Stadium.

Unvanquished Ukrainian Usyk bears the WBC, WBA, and WBO titles in his name and is eyeing becoming the four-belt undisputed heavyweight titleholder for the second time.

“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship,” said Usyk, who has a 23-0 record, in the statement released. “Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt – now I want it back.”

In their first encounter, Usyk managed to stop Dubois, yet 'Dynamite' managed to drop the Ukrainian in the fifth stanza with a body shot, which was ruled a low blow by the referee.

Since that night’s fight in Poland, triple ‘D’ has put together a three-bout knockout streak, with his most recent coming against Anthony Joshua last September.

However, former world champion Tony Bellew says nobody can get beneath the Ukrainian’s skin.

“No one's getting under his skin. He understands perfect English, to be honest, and nobody has been in his head. He's the best fighter in the world for me. He's pound for pound the best. He's smart, and he appears in places you don't expect him to be; he says things you don't expect him to say. He's a maverick. Nobody has done what he's done before. No one's seen what he's doing before. No one can explain how this man's beating people,” said Bellew during an exclusive interview with the CardPlayer.

Dubois, 27, is seeking to take his revenge. Briton Dubois is the IBF holder.

"I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgment of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city," said Dubois in a past press conference.
