Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk had their media workouts ahead of their Undisputed Heavyweight Clash on May 18.
The winner follows in the footsteps of Lennox Lewis, who became the last Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999 to achieve that feat. Fury and Usyk are both undefeated, meaning the winner is the best heavyweight of this era. Uysk has already become undisputed at cruiserweight as he seeks to repeat the feat at heavyweight.
While Fury has never been undisputed, he has won every belt at heavyweight, with only undisputed missing. The media workouts showed Fury looking a lot leaner than usual. This may indicate Fury will look to box and move around with Usyk for 12 rounds.
That is a departure from what people may have expected after suggestions Fury could use his weight to lean on Usyk like in the Deontay Wilder fights. Usyk looks a little heavier, which may show that he wants to sit down on his shots. But that cannot come at the expense of his speed and footwork, which has helped him become a Unified Heavyweight Champion.
