Tyson Fury has laughed off claims by Eddie Hearn that he rejected the opportunity to fight Oleksandr Usyk.

After weeks of step aside speculation, news broke on Thursday that the heavyweight division would be proceeding as planned.

Fury will be taking on WBC mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, while Anthony Joshua will be jumping straight into a rematch with unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Once the news had filtered through, Eddie Hearn jumped in front of a camera with iFL TV and claimed that it was Fury’s actions that sparked the breakdown in talks.

Hearn claimed that Fury wanted a warm-up fight before taking on Usyk and had no intention of fighting for the undisputed status before having an ‘easier’ bout beforehand.

Fury was clearly left amused with Hearn’s claims, as you can imagine, with the Gypsy King taking to social media soon after to laugh off all the claims made against him…
