Conor Benn defeated Chris Eubank Jr. in a unanimous decision in their rematch, as we look at what is next.

Benn dropped his man twice to avenge the defeat in the first fight, as he secured a wide decision on the cards: 119-107, 116-110 and 118-108. The result means their rivalry is tied at 1-1, as they could arguably have a third fight. The fighters earned a reported $18 million from this fight split between the two, showing there is a big amount of money on the table. It would also put an end to the rivalry with a decisive win. However, so far, Benn appears to have ruled that out.

“No, because I don’t know how long I can make 147 for. Money always talks doesn’t it but for me, for my personal reasons, how much money do you need? For me, let me get that world title and for me that will be a box ticked,” Benn said

The other alternative is to move back down to 147. He could target a fight with Ryan Garcia. Garcia is coming off a loss to Rolando Romero in May. While he has been linked with a fight against the WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios, no deal has been agreed for that fight. It is also a lucrative fight for both men, especially if Ryan fancied boxing in England.

Alternatively, Benn could target Barrios. Conor has been linked with the WBC Welterweight Champion in the past. Barrios secured a majority draw in his last fight in July against Manny Pacquiao to retain his belt. He did not look his best, as it was a second draw on the spin. A rematch with Manny has been ruled out, as Barrios could be tempted.

Equally, Benn could face off against Devin Haney. Haney is currently scheduled to box the WBO Welterweight Champion Brian Norman Jr. on November 22. If Haney comes out on top, there is a scenario where the fight can be made. Haney has close ties with Matchroom and is not the biggest puncher. Benn may fancy himself against Haney, who is not seen as a big threat at 147. Either way, Benn has plenty to ponder.
