Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora met face-to-face at New York’s Times Square, officially announcing their clash for April 4, 2026.

The bout, set for the O2 Arena in London, is being marketed under the banner “100”—a tribute to the fact that this fight will be the 50th professional outing for both men. For the 42-year-old Chisora, the night is expected to serve as the final fight of his career.

Wilder is hunting for his first back-to-back victory streak in seven years. He secured a win in June 2025 with a 7th-round TKO over Tyrrell Anthony Herndon. While a fight with Oleksandr Usyk remains the ultimate goal, Wilder admitted in Times Square that the Ukrainian’s team was “taking too long” to finalize a summer date.

Despite his age, the 42-year-old Chisora is currently on a three-fight winning streak. His most recent triumph—a unanimous decision over Otto Wallin in February 2025—proved he still has the gas in the tank to compete. The pair had plenty to say.

Reaction

“This is more than just a comeback — this is a warning shot to the entire heavyweight division. I respect Chisora. He’s tough, he’s gritty, but on April 4, I remind the world why I’m still the most dangerous man in boxing,” Wilder

“This is what I live for. The bright lights, the big fights, the doubters — bring them all. April 4, it’s WAR in my backyard, and I’m coming to shock the world,” Chisora

“You have two of the most exciting fighters in the sport — Wilder with that one-punch equalizer power and Chisora with unmatched heart and pressure. This is a can’t-miss fight. We announced it in Times Square because this is a global blockbuster,” Amer Abdallah (MF Pro President)

“Two massive names and two legends collide on one unforgettable night. This is a true heavyweight shootout — about legacy, history, and glory,” Kalle Sauerland
