BC Lions Sign Former Roughriders QB Jake Dolegala

The BC Lions have made it very clear they are focused on building up the depth of their quarterbacks. On Day 2 of free agency, they signed former Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Jake Dolegala on Wednesday. Dolegala's CFL career began in 2022 after signing with the Riders, holding down the backup quarterback role for two seasons. He has appeared in 15 games with 13 coming last year. His career stats include 2,795 yards with 12 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. The significant playing time in 2023 helped showcase that Dolegala has the skills to play the quarterback. He threw for 2,641 yards with 11 scores to nine interceptions. He added a rushing touchdown as well. Dolegala was one of three Riders quarterbacks who started, joining Trevor Harris and Mason Fine.
