With the offseason in full swing, the Argonauts are bringing back some key depth players from their 2023 squad. Toronto announced Friday the re-signing of the six players who inked new contracts: · Dylan Giffen, OL (Canadian) · Maurice Carnell, DB (American) · Edouard Paradis, OL (Canadian) · Richard Burton, WR (Canadian) · Emmanuel Falola, LB (Global) · Alfredo Gachuz Lozada, K (Global) Giffen is the biggest name on the list after a 2023 season in which he played in 13 games and started in two. He was first selected by Toronto in the third round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of Western University and has played in 26 games and made four starts during his career. Carnell signed with the Argos back in 2018 but was released in the preseason, making stops with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in training camp in 2019 and 2021 before Toronto brought him back in 2022.
