Over the weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team hosted the No. 1 team in the country the Tennessee Volunteers. After winning game one of the series 6-5 before losing game two 10-7, the stage was set for a thrilling rubber match on Saturday.
Instead, Tennessee jumped out to a 2-0 lead and in the third inning, Alabama head coach Rob Vaughn was thrown out of the game for his actions toward the home plate umpire. Not only was Vaughn tossed from Saturday's matchup, the SEC announced on Monday that Vaughn will be suspended for four games while also issuing an apology letter to umpire Kevin Sweeny and Volunteer's head coach Tony Vitello.

The Crimson Tide ultimately fell 9-2 on Saturday afternoon to drop Alabama's SEC record to 4-2 while boasting an overall record of 22-3.
The Crimson Tide opened the season 21-1 with victories over N.C. State, Ohio State and a sweep on the road at Texas A&M.
Alabama is led by sophomore superstar shortstop Justin LeBron. The freshman All-American is batting .343 while leading the team with 12 home runs and 50 runs batted in.
In the latest college baseball rankings according to D1baseball, Alabama stood strong at No. 12 after beginning the season outside of the top 25.
The Crimson Tide will look to bounce back from its loss to Tennessee with a midweek matchup with North Alabama before welcoming Oklahoma to Tuscaloosa for a three-game series.
