The Gonzaga Bulldogs are among the eight finalists for 2026 five-star point guard Ikenna Alozie, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3.
Alozie listed Gonzaga alongside Kentucky, Kansas, Houston, Arizona, Alabama, Louisville, and Washington.
The 6'2 point guard from Dream City Christian has taken unofficial visits to Arizona and Washington, and indicated plans to visit the other schools on his list, including Gonzaga. A date for his visit to Spokane has not been announced.
Alozie is ranked No. 20 in the 2026 class at 247Sports, but he comes in at No. 10 in the site's composite rankings, and is ranked No. 9 at On3.

An exceptional athlete, Alozie flies up and down the court in transition, and has proven he can bully his way to the rim in halfcourt sets as well. While his height may seem like a deterrent, he does possess a 6'6 wingspan which should help him contribute on both ends of the floor.
Gonzaga has two public offers in the 2026 class; center Sam Funches, who is set to visit campus October 3-5 for Kraziness in the Kennel, and small forward Cameron Holmes, a five-star prospect and younger brother of former All-American DaRon Holmes II.
The Zags have also contacted No. 1 overall recruit Tyran Stokes, who is reportedly planning a visit, as well as forwards Toni Bryant and Dean Rueckert.
Gonzaga's aggressive pursuit of elite high school talent may stem from the House settlement, which put the Zags in an enviable position financially.
Power conference programs are scrambling to figure out how to allocate their roughly $20 million budgets across all sports, and it's generally assumed most programs will spend 75% of that money - or about $15 million - on football.
Not having to share funds with football will result in Gonzaga having an advantage on the NIL market for the time being, and it appears coach Mark Few and the staff are doing everything they can to land high profile recruits while the window is open.
