The Alabama Crimson Tide made another deep run in the NCAA Tournament, led by Mark Sears, who recently capped off his fifth season in college basketball.
Alabama made their way to the Elite Eight after defeating BYU, Saint Mary's and Robert Morris. They suffered a loss to the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils.
Following the season, Alabama's official social media account highlighted a major accomplishment from Sears.
Sears has been named a Top 5 candidate for the Wooden Award, given to the most outstanding player in college basketball.

Sears is a finalist for the award alongside Auburn's Johni Broome, Duke's Cooper Flagg, Purdue's Braden Smith and Florida's Walter Clayton Jr.
The matchup against Duke marked Sears' final college basketball game, having played two seasons at Ohio and three seasons at Alabama.
During the season, Sears established himself as one of the best scorers in the country as well as a much-improved facilitator.
Sears averaged 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, leading Alabama in average points and assists.
He helped lead the Alabama Crimson Tide to ranked wins over North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Kentucky and Auburn.
