After failing to make the Final Four for a second straight season, Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide will have some big offseason issues to address.
After three seasons in Tuscaloosa, senior guard Mark Sears finishes off his college career as a first-team All-American.
Averaging over 18.0 points and over 4.0 assists per game over the last two seasons, Sears' departure certainly leaves a big hole for Oats' backcourt. But now, Alabama will lose its promising sophomore forward as Mouhamed Dioubate has entered the transfer portal, per On3's Pete Nakos.

Dioubate was a four-star prospect in the class of 2023 (247Sports). He ranked as the 104th-best player overall and the 22nd-best at his position.
In his freshman season with the Crimson Tide, Dioubate didn't receive much action on the court. Despite playing in 33 games, the 6-foot-7, 215-pounder out of Queens, NY, averaged 2.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game.
Dioubate saw a big jump in minutes from his freshman to sophomore season. In 16.0 minutes per game in 2024-25, he averaged 7.2 points and 5.9 rebounds. He also saw a huge jump in 3-point percentage, hitting 9.1% of his attempts in his freshman season compared to 46.2% this season.
During his recruiting process, Dioubate received offers from numerous other Power 4 programs, such as Ohio State and Wake Forest. He could consider these programs as he goes through the transfer process.
