Auburn Tigers basketball got a big addition to its frontcourt on Wednesday when Serbian forward Filip Jovic committed to the Bruce Pearl-led squad.
Jovic rounds out the Tigers’ frontcourt as the final addition of a complete overhaul from last year's Final Four roster.
Jovic, a 6-foot-9 20-year-old, played two professional seasons in the FIBA Europe League. He averaged 12.2 points and four rebounds in 22 minutes per game while shooting 65% from 2-point range last season for KK Mega Basket.
Pearl has now replaced star big man Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, and Chaney Johnson with UCF transfer Keshawn Hall, Mississippi State big KeShawn Murphy, and Jovic. The Tigers also added guard Texas Tech transfer Kevin Overton through the portal. From the JUCO ranks, Auburn added guard Abdul Bashir and big man Emeka Opurum.
The Tigers also brought in a trio of four-star talents from the 2025 recruiting class in Kaden Magwood, Sebastian Williams-Adams, and Simon Walker.
Auburn is now awaiting big news from its star-studded point guard in Tahaad Pettiford, who has until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft Process to keep his college eligibility. He would be the only returning piece from the Tigers’ Final Four squad last season.
