The Baylor men’s basketball team is set to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in an exhibition matchup ahead of the 2025-26 season, per a release.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 26, in Indianapolis. Baylor is coming off a 20-15 finish in 2024-25, which marked the program’s fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

Indiana and Baylor have officially met just once in the regular season, during the 1980 season. Notably, the Bears captured the 2021 national championship in Indianapolis.

The exhibition will serve as an early test for Scott Drew’s squad , which will feature a mix of new additions and returning talent, headlined by former Cincinnati guard Dan Skillings Jr.

On the other sideline, Indiana enters a new era under former West Virginia head coach Darian DeVries, who was hired this offseason after leading the Mountaineers to a 19-13 record in 2024-25.

His son, Tucker DeVries, followed him to Bloomington for his final season of eligibility. A two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year at Drake, DeVries spent last season at WVU before transferring to join his father.

This exhibition should draw national attention as two storied programs with NCAA Tournament expectations clash in a preseason spotlight right ahead of the 2025-26 college basketball season.
