After cutting down the nets in San Antonio, Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson praised the Big 12 for their role in getting the Cougars to this point, saying, “We weren’t 34-4 playing in the toy poodle league. We were 19-1 in the Big 12. Playing the Big 12 helped us. Shoutout to my Big 12 brethren.”

Sampson and the Cougars will have their shot at hoisting the National Championship trophy on Monday, April 6th, against Florida at 7:50 p.m. central.
