The USC basketball team is now 9-15 overall on the season and 3-10 in Pac-12 conference play. The Trojans are in last place in the Pac-12. There are so many stars on this USC team, so this has been very surprising to see. The Trojans recently lost to Stanford, and the game was ugly. USC fell on the road, 99-68, and after the game, Boogie Ellis noted that him and his team need to have some pride.

“We gotta have more pride,” Ellis said after the loss to Stanford, according to an article from the Orange County Register. “USC’s never been like this. This is not what we’re about. This is not our standard.”

This USC basketball team has struggled the entire season, and it isn’t because of a lack of talent. This team is loaded with good players, but it’s mistakes that constantly hurt the team. Boogie Ellis noted that.

“Just feel like, this whole season’s come down to us not doing the little things,” Ellis said.

After the loss to Stanford, USC head coach Andy Enfield took a lot of the blame. Ellis also put some of the blame on the players and their lack of execution.

“They’re doing their best,” Ellis said. “I mean, it’s up – Coach Andy can draw up all the plays he wants, he can be the best coach, but if we don’t go out there and perform, that’s not on him.”

There is less than a month left for USC this season. We’ll see if they can find any positives down the stretch.
