The Cavaliers have reached an Exhibit 10 agreement with undrafted forward Norchad Omier, according to Sean Cunningham of KCRA.

Omier, 23, spent his final collegiate season at Baylor after two years each at Miami (Fla.) and Arkansas State. The 6-foot-7 forward turned in a productive 2024-25 campaign for the Bears, averaging 15.7 points and 10.8 rebounds in 35 games. He was named to the All-Big 12 First Team and also earned a spot on the conference’s All-Newcomer Team.

A physical presence in the paint and relentless on the glass, Omier racked up accolades over his five-year college career. In 2022, he was both the Sun Belt Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year at Arkansas State.

He also made history in 2020 as the first Nicaraguan native to earn a Division I basketball scholarship and continues to represent his country as a member of the national team.

Omier will join the Cavaliers for training camp with a chance to compete for a roster spot. The Exhibit 10 deal allows Cleveland to convert his contract to a two-way deal, or he could earn a bonus of up to $85,000 if he’s waived and spends at least 60 days with the Cleveland Charge, the team’s G League affiliate.
