Mike Krzyzewski may be retired from coaching Duke’s basketball team, but he’s far from done making an impact in Durham.
On Tuesday, the Blue Devils officially announced the return of the K Academy, Coach K’s annual fantasy basketball camp that brings fans, former players, and Duke legends together for a week unlike any other.
The news came via the team’s official Twitter account.
"K Academy Year 22 starts today!"
Held on Duke’s campus in Durham, North Carolina, the K Academy gives participants—mostly men 35 and older—a chance to live the Blue Devil experience for five full days.
Campers are split into 10 teams of 10, go through film sessions, participate in team dinners, and finish the week with a single-elimination tournament inside historic Cameron Indoor Stadium.

But it’s not just pickup basketball.
It’s all coached and overseen by Coach K himself, along with Jon Scheyer, Duke staffers, and an impressive lineup of former and current Duke players.
That includes everything from five-time national championship insights to personalized coaching on the floor and even on the golf course.
Yes—golf is also part of the deal.
Some participants opt for the golf track, spending their week at the Duke University Golf Club, still under the guidance of Krzyzewski and company.
For Coach K, who retired from college coaching in 2022, the K Academy has become a signature event—and a reminder that his presence around Duke basketball remains as strong as ever.
With Year 22 now underway, another group of campers gets to step into Duke’s legacy and share the court with the men who built it.
