With the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the San Antonio Spurs selected Rutgers guard Dylan Harper.
Harper entered Wednesday's draft as one of the most intriguing prospects. He averaged 19.4 points and 4.0 assists per game during his only season of college basketball. If he's able to reach his full potential at the next level, he should form a lethal trio with Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama.
Before the Spurs even selected Harper with the No. 2 pick, fans couldn't help but rave about his mom Maria. She was at the Barclays Center to watch her son's lifelong dream become a reality.
"It's surreal," Maria told ESPNW. "The NBA is a very, very exclusive club. He’s worked so hard to get here. I’m just proud of."

After being selected by the Spurs, Harper let NBA fans know how he feels about his mother.
"She means the world to me," Harper said during his post-draft press conference.
Maria was actually a Division 1 basketball player at the University of New Orleans. She helped coach Dylan during the early stages of his career.
As you'd imagine, Harper is excited to join San Antonio's roster. He knows that young core is ready to rock.
"I think when you play with a bunch of great players, it just brings the best out of you," Harper told ESPN. "They got a great young core over there. I'm just ready to get in there and make an impact anywhere I can with those guys."
We'll see if the Spurs can take home Rookie of the Year for the third consecutive season.
