ESPN analyst says court storming could 'stop tomorrow'

ESPN's Jay Bilas appeared on "Get Up" on Monday morning to discuss college basketball's growing court storming issues.

Bilas said that fans "don't belong on the court" and that it'd be "easy to stop." The former Duke center added, however, that the problem won't be going away anytime soon.

Bilas' comments come in the wake of Blue Devils star sophomore center Kyle Filipowski suffering a knee injury during a court storming on Saturday.

The incident happened after Wake Forest fans rushed the hardwood and collided with Filipowski following the team's upset over No. 8 Duke.

In women's basketball, Ohio State fans ran into Iowa superstar guard Caitlin Clark after the Buckeyes shocked the Hawkeyes in a January contest. Clark was shaken up but avoided injury.

Fellow ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg chimed in on the topic as well, blasting individuals who claim that the situation is somehow the fault of the players who are trying to get off the court.

Filipowski was the ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC Tournament MVP last season. He ranks inside the conference's top-10 in a host of categories this season, including points (16.9, eighth), rebounds (8.3, sixth) and blocks per game (1.7, third), as well as field-goal percentage (.499, ninth).

The 20-year-old is a huge loss for however long he's out for as Duke makes a push for another ACC crown and possible first NCAA title since 2015.
