Florida Gators Announce Major Coaching News Following National Championship Win

The Florida Gators are just a few weeks removed from capping off one of the best seasons in the program’s history. They went out in style, rallying with several thrilling victories to reach the national championship against the Houston Cougars. 

In a dramatic second-half comeback, they captured their first national title under head coach Todd Golden and their first since back-to-back championships in 2006 and 2007.

However, with success comes turnover, especially on the coaching staff, and the Gators have seen that firsthand this offseason. They've lost two key assistant coaches: Kevin Hovde, who accepted the head coaching job at Columbia, and John Andrzejek, who took the Campbell head coaching position.

In response, Florida made a major announcement, filling those vacant positions alongside Golden. The Gators have hired Dave Klatsky and promoted Jonathan Safir to assistant coach.
