Happy holiday Wednesday! We take some time for a little nostalgia on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" by welcoming on one of the Crimson Tide's best basketball players.

Trevor Releford, Alabama guard from 2010-14, joined the show to talk about his career with the Crimson Tide, his thoughts on the Bama basketball program now under Nate Oats and what he's doing with his life after basketball.

Releford told us he knew he was coming to Alabama within the first hour of his visit to Tuscaloosa in high school. His commitment was big for Alabama's Anthony Grant as he was a highly sought-after 4-star recruit out of Kansas City, Mo.,

The 6-foot point guard upheld the legacy of strong Alabama guards by averaging 14 points per game and three assists across his four seasons, topping out as a senior with 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals per game.

He joins our program to talk about former teammates JaMychal Green and Tony Mitchell and what it was like playing for Anthony Grant.

Releford played for four seasons for the Crimson Tide and gave us his thoughts on the transfer portal and name image and likeness as it wasn't near as popular or legal when he played.

Lastly the former guard tells the audience about playing overseas as he spent time in Poland, Germany, Israel and Greece and what he's up to in his life after playing professional basketball.

Keep up with each show on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Shows can also be heard on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon.
