Former Auburn Tiger Allen Flanigan is off to a hot start for Ole Miss

Wes Flanigan used to be one of Bruce Pearl's assistant coaches, but he left to join Chris Beard's staff at Ole Miss.

Shortly after this, Wes's son Allen, who played for the Tigers for many years, decided he would follow his father to Ole Miss.

The six-foot-six wing has had a perfect start to the 2023-24 season for the Rebels, as he is second in the SEC in points per game, averaging 20.2.

He is also averaging 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, one block, and 1.8 steals per game for SEC rival Ole Miss.

Flanigan was a huge part of Ole Miss's win over Temple, where he made two free throws with 0:09 left on the clock to give the Rebels a one-point lead. He scored 26 points in this game on 9-13 shooting.

While Flanigan hasn't been shooting a ton of threes for his new school, he has been making the shots he is taking, as the senior is shooting 50% from deep so far this season.

It's great to see Flanigan having so much success. Tiger fans just better hope he doesn't play well in the two games where Auburn and Ole Miss face off.
