Former Gonzaga Guard Dominick Harris Announces Transfer Portal Decision

Former Gonzaga Bulldogs guard Dominick Harris committed to the Loyola Chicago Ramblers out of the transfer portal on Thursday, his fourth school since beginning his college basketball career back in 2020.

Harris has also entered his name into the NBA draft process.

Harris was at UCLA this past season, appearing in 11 games for Mick Cronin and the Bruins.

He began the year as part of UCLA's rotation but after shooting 1-14 from three in six November games, Harris was relegated to the end of the bench and played just 21 total minutes the rest of the way - scoring all five of his remaining points against Prairie View A&M on December 17.

The 6'3 guard from Murrieta, CA began his college career at Gonzaga as part of the famed 'Tricky Trio' recruiting class alongside Jalen Suggs and Julian Strawther.

Harris appeared in 25 games as a freshman in 2020-21, but missed the entire 2021-22 season with a foot injury. He returned in 2022-23 but played just 13 games and hit the transfer portal after that, landing at another WCC school in LMU where he had far and away the best season of his career - averaging 14.3 points and 3.3 rebounds while shooting a conference leading 44.8% from beyond the arc.

That led him to UCLA and while the results were not great with the Bruins, his strong performance at LMU likely helped convince coach Drew Valentine to bring him out to Loyola Chicago to compete for a program that went 25-12 and 12-6 in the A-10 last season.

The lone Gonzaga player from last year who remains uncommitted in the transfer portal is walk-on Graydon Lemke while another former Zag walk-on, Colby Brooks, is still in the portal after one season at San Diego.
