Two days into the 30 day window for college basketball players to enter the NCAA transfer portal, and already the Gonzaga Bulldogs have seen a pair of players testing out the waters.
Dusty Stromer was the first, but now he will be followed by 6'8 rising senior wing Jun Seok Yeo, who reportedly entered the portal late on Tuesday afternoon.
Yeo first joined the Zags at the semester break of the 2022-23 season from his home country of Korea, and sat out the rest of that year which gave him three years of eligibility remaining heading into 2023-24.
Jun Seok Yeo enters the transfer portal. Never cracked #Gonzaga’s main rotation, averaging 6.9 ppg in 2023–24 and 4.1 ppg in 2024-25.

Yeo never found his footing in Gonzaga's lineup, however, appearing in 25 games and making one start while averaging 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 17-24 (70.8%) on two pointers and 3-22 (13.6%) from three in 6.9 minutes per contest.
When Gonzaga returned seven of their eight rotation players for 2024-25, while adding forward Michael Ajayi and wing Khalif Battle, it appeared very likely Yeo would have a similarly limited role as a junior. And in fact his playing time actually decreased, with the 6'8 forward appearing in just 14 games and playing almost entirely in garbage time, averaging 1.6 points and shooting 6-8 on twos and 3-11 (27.3%) from three.
Yeo had a career-high 10 points in his lone start against Arkansas-Pine Bluff back in December of 2023, and scored nine points with seven rebounds and four assists against Eastern Oregon (NAIA) in his second career game.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Yeo will likely need to find a smaller program to get playing time before exhausting his eligibility. He could also opt to begin his professional career overseas, potentially returning home to Korea.
