Brewers' winning streak continues thanks to huge comeback

The Milwaukee Brewers just keep on winning. They extended their winning streak to 13 consecutive games on Friday night with a 10-8 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

They certainly did not make it easy on themselves.

The Brewers had to overcome an 8-1 second-inning deficit, but did so thanks to a dominant performance from outfielder Christian Yelich.

Yelich helped power the Brewers' rally by going 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a performance that saw him come just a triple shy of the cycle. Yelich has hit for the cycle three times in his career, with the three previous times also coming against the Reds. Even without the triple, it was still a dominant showing.

First baseman Andrew Vaughn also played a big role and helped get the rally started with a three-run home run in the third inning.

The Brewers' rally not only helped them keep their winning streak going, but it also helped take rookie pitcher Jacob Misiorowski off the hook after he struggled on the mound. The All-Star allowed five earned runs in just 1.1 innings to help put the Brewers in their early hole. But with the way they are going right now, nothing seems to matter or get in their way.

With Friday's win, their lead in the National League Central increases to nine games over the Chicago Cubs (who lost earlier on Friday) and gives them the best record in the National League by seven games.

They are clearly the best team in baseball at the moment, and they only keep getting better.
