Hubert Davis had cool moment with Mickie Krzyzewski before game

Hubert Davis was a man on a mission on Saturday, but he still made some time for a cool moment with Mickie Krzyzewski.

WFMY in North Carolina captured video of UNC players and coaches walking through the tunnel at the Superdome in New Orleans prior to the North Carolina-Duke Final Four game.

Davis was walking through the tunnel and seemed focused, but then he spotted Coach K’s wife and went over to shake hands and give a hug.

That was a small moment but a significant one. It shows that despite all the acrimony between the rival programs, there is still civility. Both sides want to win, but they can also be cordial.

UNC won the game 81-77 and ended up burying Coach K both in his final home game and in the NCAA Tournament. Ouch.
