So much for a ‘Game of the Year’.
Michigan steamrolled Arizona, beating them 91-73, and never trailing at any point in the game.

The internet was disappointed with the hype and impressed with Michigan’s dominance:
I’m scared what Michigan might do with even more NIL after they win this natty man
— Niko (@nikotaughtyou) April 5, 2026
This is embarrassing as hell out of Arizona all things considered.
Can’t be playing like this when Michigan doesn’t have the best player (in general) in for the entire game.

I hate to be the one to say it but Michigan is winning the natty

Michigan is like a hive mind man. This belt they’re giving Arizona is generational pic.twitter.com/SUZ7mPiM6c

Michigan head coach Dusty May went viral before the game by sitting courtside to scout the Illinois/UConn game. Some called the move ambitious, but it’s obvious he knew what he was doing.

It wasn’t all good for the Wolverines.
Star player Yaxel Lendeborg suffered an apparent knee injury and had to go to the locker room multiple times. He had a noticeable limp throughout the game.

This was supposed to be game of the year and we’re up 27 and Yaxel hasn’t played. Played his few minutes on 1 leg.
