UConn is on to its third National Championship game in four seasons, and Dan Hurley is getting his flowers online.

Dan Hurley is now 11-0 in the Sweet 16 or later as head coach for UConn.

They’re heading to their 3rd natty appearance in the past four years.

The madman led UConn to a 71-62 win over Illinois, sealing himself one of the best resumes of any coach in the sport.

The Huskies held the lead for most of the game, never trailing in the second half. They shot 36% from three-point range, compared to Illinois’ 23%.

UConn is banking them in. Getting the ball after multiple bounces on the rim. Meanwhile, Illinois’ layups are being repelled by some invisible forcefield.

Alex Karaban will become the first player to play in three National Championship games in over 50 years. Larry Farmer and Larry Holyfield, who played for UCLA in 1971, ’72, and ’73, were the last players to accomplish the feat.
