The Milwaukee Brewers got a major scare on Friday night when starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski was lifted from his start against the Washington Nationals with an injury concern. After carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning and dominating the Nationals lineup, Misiorowski was lifted after throwing his slowest fastball of the night (98.1 mph) and immediately signaling to the dugout.
Following a brief conversation with the trainer, he was lifted from the game.
The good news? It is not an arm injury.
The Brewers announced that Misiorowski was lifted from the game due to a right hamstring cramp, which is almost certainly encouraging news.

Anytime a pitcher leaves a game in the middle of an at-bat following a slower-than-normal fastball, it is easy to immediately fear a major arm issue. That would have been devastating for the Brewers season, especially after one of their other top starters, Brandon Woodruff, went on the IL earlier in the day on Friday with shoulder inflammation.
Misiorowski is one of the best young pitchers in baseball and was sensational on Friday, going 5.1 innings, striking out eight and not allowing a hit.
He also threw 41 pitches harder than 100 mph.

There is still a chance that a hamstring injury could sideline him, but it is still better than the alternative. Especially on the same day they already had one starter go out of the rotation.
