Has built the Baylor program with Scott Drew the last two decades.
Tang just concluded his 19th season with Baylor under head coach Scott Drew, as the top-seeded Bears were upset in the round of 32 by No. 8 North Carolina in overtime on Saturday, 93-86. Tang served 14 seasons as an assistant coach, before being promoted to associate head coach in 2017.
With Drew and Tang in stow for the last two decades, Baylor has made the NCAA tournament 10 times, advanced to the Final Four three times and captured one national title (in 2021 over Gonzaga).
Weber had been at the helm with Kansas State for the last 10 seasons. During his employment, the Wildcats made the NCAA Tournament five times, including a 2018 run to the Elite Eight.
The program just wrapped up a third consecutive losing season though, dropping six straight games to end the year after a 14-11 start.
