Kentucky Briefing: John Calipari discusses what he saw from Aaron Bradshaw against UNC Wilmington
© Jordan Prather-USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday's Kentucky vs. UNC Wilmington matchup, freshman five-star seven-footer Aaron Bradshaw made his season debut.

Bradshaw had three points and two rebounds for the Cats in this game while getting into the flow of things playing 13 minutes.

After the game was over, in his press conference, Calipari was asked what he thought about Bradshaw's performance.

Coach Cal had this to say, " First time out, for him, I think it was probably plus a bunch. I don't know exactly. You'd have to look. Well, was it? Plus, 11 in a game. We lose by this. So, obviously, that says he did okay. He's still not in the flow of the stuff yet. But he did some good stuff. That's a good start for him."

Bradshaw will have to settle into the college game, as Coach Cal said, but he is going to be a really good player for this Kentucky team.

We wrote it

I wrote about what Coach Cal had to say about what went wrong against the UNC Wilmington Seahawks.

"Saturday, December 2nd, was a day full of excitement around the Kentucky basketball program as star seven-footer Aaron Bradshaw was making his debut, as was the new court design at Rupp Arena, but the excitement vanished quickly."

"UNC Wilmington came out and played an incredible basketball game, taking down the #12 Kentucky Wildcats 80-73."
