The Bearcats basketball team and head coach Wes Miller released a statement on Dan Skillings' "week-by-week" injury status on Tuesday. Skillings underwent a knee procedure this week that will sideline him for some time.

"Dan's long-term health is the top priority for us, and we have full trust in our medical staff, led by our trainer Bob Mangine," head coach Wes Miller said in the statement. "Dan is a leader for our team on and off the court. We know he will continue to push and encourage his teammates. We hope to have him back on the court soon."

Skillings posted 17 points and 11 rebounds in the season opener after leading the program in scoring last season at 12.9 PPG.
