Michael Jordan's game-worn 1982-83 UNC jersey sells for $1.38 million at auction

A jersey Michael Jordan wore at the University of North Carolina during the 1982-83 college basketball season sold at auction on Friday for $1.38 million, according to Darren Rovell of the Action Network.

Jordan averaged 20 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 53.5 percent from the field in 1982-83. It was his second of three seasons with the Tar Heels.

Jordan was selected third overall in the 1984 NBA draft behind Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie and claiming Rookie of the Year honors. He went on to become a 14-time All-Star, winning six NBA titles and five MVP awards, among other accolades, during his 15-year career.

Memorabilia for the Chicago Bulls legend has skyrocketed in price over the last year following the release of "The Last Dance."
