The 2025 NBA Draft is coming up in June, and the league has made announcements regarding who is being invited to the upcoming NBA Combine.
Their communications team released a list of 75 players that were invited to the combine that takes place between May 11-18 in Chicago, Illinois.
The Florida Gators, coming fresh off a national championship, and are looking to send some players on to the next stage in their careers.
Among the 75 players heading to Chicago for the combine are three members of the Florida Gators. Walter Clayton Jr. headlines the list, and is one of the biggest names heading to Chicago in May.
Joining Clayton in Chicago from the Gators is forward Alex Condon and guard Alijah Martin. These come to no surprise, as all of them were incredibly impactful in the Gators' national title season.
None, however, were bigger than Clayton during March Madness. On his way to the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, Clayton averaged 22.3 points and 3.3 assists per game while shooting an incredible 43.5% from the three-point line.
One of the most clutch players college basketball has seen, he led scoring runs vital in coming back against Texas Tech and Auburn in the Elite Eight and Final Four.
Now he heads into the combine and draft process to further his career in the NBA. As an older player, teams may overlook him as teams like the idea of drafting an 18 or 19 year old over a 22 year old.
Recent mock drafts have had the star guard shooting up in the rankings, hovering in the latter end of the lottery. He has an opportunity to increase his stock even more so during the NBA Combine, and is certainly a name to keep an eye on.
