Senior guard Wade Taylor IV will go down as one of the best Texas A&M Aggies basketball players of all time. But now, his college career has come to a close.
On Saturday evening, Taylor and No. 4 seed Texas A&M were eliminated from the 2025 NCAA Tournament after a 91-79 loss to No. 5 seed Michigan Wolverines in the second round.
During his four years in College Station, Texas, Taylor helped the Aggies secure a winning record in each season. However, he was never able to make much noise in the postseason.
Taylor brought Texas A&M to the SEC championship twice but could never seal the deal. He could also never find a way to get past the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
With Taylor on his way out, the NCAA sent a parting message to the 6-foot guard on X, thanking him for the memories.
"One of the Aggie greats. Thank you, Wade Taylor."

Taylor finished his college career as the Aggies' all-time leading scorer, tallying 2,058 career points. He averaged about 14.6 points per game throughout college, with his best season coming in 2023-24, when he averaged 19.1
In his final college game, Taylor finished with 14 points on 4-of-15 shooting, four assists and two steals. Forward Pharrel Payne led Texas A&M in scoring in both tournament games, scoring 26 against Michigan.
Now, the Aggies will be heading home and have some work to do in the offseason to try and fill Taylor's shoes. Michigan, on the other hand, advances to the Sweet 16, where they will face the winner of No. 1 seed Auburn Tigers and No. 9 seed Creighton Bluejays.
