College basketball teams across the country are preparing for a new season, with many focusing on the recruiting process during the summer.
With ample time to train as a team, all eyes are on the newcomers, who have either already landed with their new college teams or are looking to make their decisions.
The top players from the 2025 class, such as AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer have already been seen with their respective programs.
While they transition into their college basketball form, all eyes are on the No. 1 player in the class of 2026, Tyran Stokes.
Stokes has yet to make his commitment decision, but a recent report revealed an official visit to one of the most prestigious college basketball programs in the country.
The No. 1 college basketball recruit is currently in Lexington for an official visit with Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats, per Travis Branham.

Tyran Stokes has been playing high school basketball at Notre Dame High School in California. Despite the ties to California, he's mostly been in contact with major blue blood programs.
Before taking an official visit to Kentucky, Stokes also took official visits to Louisville and Kansas, having posted his picture from the Jayhawks visit on his official social media account.
Last season, the Kentucky Wildcats were playing under head coach Mark Pope for the first time in program history. He took over as the head coach after John Calipari departed for Arkansas in what many reported as a mutual separation.
Now, Pope could be in line to land the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2026 after just one season at Kentucky.
