Ole Miss HC Chris Beard Claps Back at 'Fraud' Comments

The Ole Miss men's basketball team, despite their resurgence this year under head coach Chris Beard, is still being disrespected by the national media. On Tuesday, Beard spoke to the press about CBS Analyst Tim Doyle's recent comments in which he called the Rebels, "frauds."

"I think we've got a good team. We just played in what people are calling the best conference in the history of college basketball," said Beard. "I think a lot of things could be said about our team, both good and bad, but 'fraud' would not be a word that I would think about when I think about this year's Ole Miss team."

Beard is completely justified in defending his team from these baseless comments made by Doyle. As he mentioned during the press conference, the Rebels did not lose a single game to a non-Tournament team this season and boast some of the most impressive wins in all of college basketball.

The team won 10 games in the SEC, which was an absolute gauntlet this year, and made it to the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. Thankfully, both Chris Beard and his team know that Doyle is wrong. They may not be one of the teams to beat in March Madness this year, but the Rebels are anything but frauds.
