WHAT COACH HAS SAID HEADING INTO THIS SEASON
“Amdy is a versatile inside-out player whose recruitment really took off over the past year,” head coach Jeff Capel said upon Ndiaye’s signing. “He fits our system extremely well with his ability to guard multiple positions on the floor as well as be an efficient offensive weapon out of the pick and roll or pick and pop. He plays with great energy and is another guy who always wants to be in the gym.”
Capel also answered questions on the possibility of Ndiaye and the team’s other young freshman, Brandin “Beebah” Cummings, redshirting. This was his answer.
“We haven’t made any decisions, right now that’s not the plan,” Capel said. “But we haven’t made any decisions with any of that stuff yet.”

OFFSEASON NEWS
Ndiaye committed to Pitt nearly one year ago, shortly after visiting.
He will join a Pitt front court led by Guillermo Diaz Graham and Cam Corhen, a transfer from Florida State. Ndiaye was ranked as the No. 44 center prospect in the nation coming out of high school. He was a three-star recruit and the No. 3 player from Connecticut. Ndiaye chose Pitt over offers from Rutgers, Rhode Island, Saint Bonaventure, and others.
