The 2025 NBA Draft Lottery will take place on Monday evening at 7 p.m. ET in Chicago. Duke superstar Cooper Flagg is widely expected to go No. 1 overall, so the winner of this year's lottery will likely be his future team.

With the NBA altering its lottery format in 2019, three teams now have an equal chance (14%) at landing the first overall pick. This year, those three teams are the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets. These organizations were responsible for the league's three worst records in the 2024-25 season.

After those three teams, the New Orleans Pelicans (12.5%), Philadelphia 76ers (10.5%) and Brooklyn Nets (9%) have the best odds at winning the Flagg sweepstakes (via NBA).

Each lottery team names an official representative who attends the event and looks on as the highly-anticipated draft order is revealed. Ahead of Monday night, the Nets announced on X that head coach Jordi Fernandez will be their official lottery rep in Chicago.

"See you in Chicago, Coach," the team posted with a graphic of Fernandez.

It was not long ago when Brooklyn was loaded with NBA superstars. Boasting a trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden during the 2020-21 season, the Nets suffered a second round exit after injuries severely hampered that talented group. Since that season, Brooklyn has not won a single playoff series.

While Flagg is just 18 years old, many have him rated as a potential franchise-altering talent. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in his freshman season at Duke. This culminated in several awards, including the Naismith Men's College Player of the Year (h/t ESPN).
