
Duke vs. UConn was billed as a heavyweight bout with a spot in the Final Four on the line. So far, though, only one team has shown up.
The No. 1 seed Blue Devils are leading the No. 2 seed Huskies, 44-25, with less than two minutes to go on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils have been dominating the game, in basically every facet, in Washington, D.C.
And that includes the officiating.
With less than 2:00 to play on Sunday, the foul situation is:
UConn coach Dan Hurley has already been hit with a "warning" for his behavior. He's been complaining to the officiating crew - a lot.
College hoops fans are pretty annoyed, too.
College basketball fans have been sounding off on the officiating crew for the UConn vs. Duke game on Sunday.
"I’m shocked that Danny Hurley hasn’t lost it here in the first half. Duke somehow only had three fouls despite there being at least 3 fouls the refs ignored on multiple possessions," one fan wrote.
"Duke paying the refs $2 mil in NIL," one fan added.
"The refs allowing Duke to hold off the ball has been a problem," one fan added.
"I mean these refs just are calling nothing against Duke," one fan added.
"UConn ML was by far the worst bet I’ve ever had in my betting career. Idk why I thought the refs weren’t going to be on Dukes side," one fan added.
The game between the two power programs is airing on CBS.
