As the 2026 NBA Draft approaches, the league is starting to put the finishing touches on its pre-draft events.

This year's list of NBA Combine and G League Draft Combine invites have both been revealed, but since then, there have been a few reported changes to the events.

Juke Harris and Alijah Arenas each went back to school, withdrawing from this year's class and pre-draft events. More recently, Isiah Harwell and Paulius Murauskas also withdrew from the 2026 draft and G League Combine, according to Jeremy Woo.

As a result, Malik Reneau and Aaron Nkrumah earned spots at the event, which is set for May 8-10 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. In addition to Reneau and Nkrumah, Michigan State's Jaxon Kohler has reportedly been added to the G Leauge Combine.

Kohler's invitation comes after a strong senior season for the Spartans' standout, who spent all four seasons of his college career at Michigan State. In 2025-26, the former four-star recruit averaged a career-high12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 38.9% from 3-point range on more than four attempts per game.

Kohler closed the regular season with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and zero turnovers while shooting 10-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep against Michigan, who went on to win the national championship.

Coming out of high school, Kohler was rated the No. 61 overall recruit and No. 8 power forward in the 2022 recruiting class by 247Sports.

In his final collegiate campaign, Kohler helped the Spartans to a Sweet 16 appearance. In his career at MSU, Kohler played in 127 contests and made 69 starts.

Listed at 6-foot-10 and 245 pounds, Kohler's blend of experience, size, rebounding prowess and ability to stretch the floor will be enticing for NBA teams, as the veteran forward could be a solid depth addition in the frontcourt.

At the G League Combine, Kohler will have the opportunity to showcase his talents against other prospects who are also fighting for a spot in the 2026 draft. With a strong performance, players have the potential to earn spots at the NBA Combine, especially as more prospects withdraw from the class and return to school.

Kohler, among others, could benefit from players heading back to college, as the opportunity for underclassmen to make significant money in the NCAA should open more spots for veterans. Even if the Michigan State star isn't picked, he has a strong chance to find a spot in the G League.
