Runnin’ Rebels head to New Mexico for season finale

The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels hit the road to New Mexico for a season finale on Friday at 7pm. On CBS Sports Network.

The Runnin’ Rebels have won three straight games and six of its last seven.

In their 74-67 win against San Diego State, Julian Rishwain led the team, scoring a career-high 26 points.

Rishwain went 9-for-13 from the floor, including a career-high, six three-pointers.

Jaden Henley scored 17 points, Jalen Hill added 11, and Jailen Bedford had 10. Bedford even had a team-high eight rebounds. Jalen Hill grabbed six rebounds.

New Mexico secured the Mountain West regular season title outright with a win against UNR, 71-67 on Tuesday. New Mexico has won two straight games and 10 of their last 12.

The Lobos are led by Donovan Dent, averaging 20.4 points per game. Nelly Joseph is the Lobos’ leading rebounder, averaging 11.0 rebounds per game. Tru Washington leads the team in steals, averaging 2.1 steals per game.

In the last meeting between the two teams on January 25, New Mexico was victorious, 75-73.

Dedan Thomas, Jr scored 18 points. Julian Rishwain added 16 points, shooting 5-of-10 three-pointers. New Mexico was led by Donovan Dent and Nelly Joseph, who combined for 56 points.
