It's a new era for the Texas Longhorns men's basketball program under head coach Sean Miller. Miller has long been known as one of the better coaches in college basketball and he certainly knows what to do with top talent, so bringing in that top talent via the recruiting trail and the transfer portal is going to be an important step for the Longhorns this offseason.
They're off to a good start in that regard, as it's being reported that former Xavier guard Dailyn Swain is committing to Texas out of the transfer portal.

There's a lot to like about Swain if you're Miller and the Longhorns. Perhaps the best thing is that there's a familiarity there, with Swain having played for Miller last season at Xavier.
As a sophomore out of Columbus, Ohio, he started 33 games for the Musketeers, averaging 11 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists so he's truly a do-everything player.
The one thing Swain can't do is shoot three-pointers, so unless there's significant development there this offseason don't expect him to be part of that game plan for Texas. He shot 25% from three last season and just 15.4% as a freshman.
Other than that, Swain should be expected to be a big part of Texas' lineup next season in Miller's first campaign as head coach.
